Jarvey horses dung cause concern in Kilarney.

Killarney National Park is inviting submissions from locals on how to tackle the problem of horse dung in the town. The dung is being dropped by jarvey’s horses on public roadways and walkways in The National Park. The decision to seek submissions was taken due to the increasing number of complaints from Killarney residents.Currently 130 jarvey horses are authorised to operate in the area. 3 years ago The Town Council completed the first update of the jarveys by laws in almost 150 years but stopped short of introducing a clause which would make the wearing of horse nappies or ‘Sanitary Equine Devices’ compulsory.
