IT Tralee plan to sell south campus to take five years

The Institute of Technology in Tralee is revising its plans for its North Campus to accommodate the 1,000 students from its South Campus in Clash. President of ITT Dr Oliver Murphy confirmed it is the preferred option of the institute to sell its South Campus facility to generate revenue to fund the new development. He said this was a medium-term project that would take between four to five years to complete and options for funding it were currently being explored. Dr Murphy also confirmed that 120 construction jobs will come on stream in September with the commencement of the new €15m development of the Kerry Sports Academy that will include Kerry GAA’s Centre of Excellence and the headquarters for Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann in Kerry.
