The Institute of Technology Tralee has up to three years of reserves left.
That’s according to the President of IT Tralee Dr Oliver Murphy, who was speaking following the publication of a review carried out by the Higher Education Authority.
The report suggested that IT Tralee is one of five institutes that are vulnerable and face immediate sustainability challenges.
The Kerry college has had its State funding cut by 10% since 2010.
Dr Murphy says something needs to be done to resolve the situation, which he described as systemic.
