The Irish hotel industry is showing strong signs of recovery – with demand this year outstripping The Gathering in 2013. hotel room beds 2 A new report by Crowe Howarth Accountants shows a rapid rise in visitor numbers – with the average occupancy up to 66 per cent from a low of 59 in 2009. The improved figures are being put down to a 14 per cent surge in visitors from the US and Canada – who traditionally spend more and stay longer. While Dublin has seen the biggest rise in demand hotels outside the capital are also performing well.
