Pay restoration, staffing levels and a 37-hour working week will be among the topics to dominate discussions at the Irish Nurses’ and Midwives’ Organisation’s annual conference in Killarney this week. The three-day conference gets underway at the INEC today (WED) where 350 delegates will gather to discuss nearly 70 motions. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Registered Nurses and Midwives – Professionals in action, making the difference’. Acting Health Minister Leo Varadkar is due to address the conference on Friday.
