An independent councillor is defending Tralee town after a letter published nationally criticised the amenities and physical image of the county’s capital. Councillor Tommy Foley says Tralee has improved considerably over the years, particularly with the construction of Manor Village and the new Town Square. He says while more work is needed in the town, Tralee will eventually become a city.
