Increase in number of people killed on Kerry’s roads

Kerry saw an increase in road deaths last year.

Figures from the Road Safety Authority show that eight people lost their lives on the county’s roads in the past twelve months compared to seven in 2016.

Nationally, the data shows there has been a 15% drop in road deaths in 2017 which was also the safest year on record.


158 were killed in crashes last year.
