With thanks to photographer Shay Connolly Michael Fleming has met with Minister Heather Humphreys to outline concerns in relation to a draft document that was presented to the Hen Harrier Consultative Committee. He says that bans on afforestation must be removed and that responsible forest management and hen harrier conservation are compatible. He stressed that a plan must provide practical conservation solutions that are proportionate to the risks involved and allow local farmers to realise the economic potential of their land.
