IFA calls for meeting with National Roads Authority

The IFA is calling for a meeting with the National Roads Authority over the delay that farmers are experiencing in getting paid for land compulsorily acquired. The farmers lobby group is claiming the nra and the local authorities are in breach of a number of a number of guidelines established in the nra agreement. 8,000 farmers are affected by the delay in the process already. Chairman of the Environment committee Tom Dillon says this problem will become more widespread across the county.
