IDA says short-term interest placed on Tralee advanced technology building

IDA Ireland has confirmed that a short-term reservation has been placed on the multi-million euro advance technology building for Tralee.

However, the IDA says it can’t comment whether the company or entity who’s placed the reservation is going to acquire or lease the building in the future.

IDA Ireland, the agency charged with attracting foreign investment, has been marketing the advance technology building in Tralee which was completed last year.

Last November, the agency’s CEO, Martin Shanahan who’s from Abbeydorney, said these types of facilities are normally occupied within 12 months of completion.

The 2,300 square metre building is located in Kerry Technology Park.

The IDA says it continues to market the building to companies in the pharmaceutical, medical technology, engineering and technology sectors.

It says the availability of high quality properties is key to securing foreign direct investment projects and that the Tralee building will advance the IDA’s regional job creation strategy.
