Hundreds take part in B Wildered fitness challenge in Ballymacelligott

Ballymacelligott_GAA_Crest Over 400 fitness enthusiasts are competing in the B Wildered John Lenihan Wilderness Challenge today in Ballymacelligott. Now in its second year, the event sponsored by Lee Strand Protein + Milk, gives participants a chance to test their fitness limits in the Glanageenty wilderness. They will complete a 7.5km route of hill and trail running and obstacle courses. The course was designed by champion hill runner and Ballymac native, John Lenihan, in conjunction with Joe O’Connor of Nisus Fitness, who was the fitness and performance expert on RTÉ’s ‘Ireland’s Fittest Family’. Proceeds from the event will go to the development of a new juvenile training pitch at Ballymacelligott GAA club.
