Huge crowds attend St Patrick’s Day parades around Kerry

St Patricks DayRecord numbers of people have attended parades across Kerry for Saint Patrick’s Day. Fine weather and great community spirit have been responsible for fantastic parades celebrated around the county today. Two of the earliest St Patrick’s Day parades in Ireland took place in West Kerry. In Baile na nGall, a small parade was hosted outside Tigh TPs by the seaside at midnight. In Dingle the parade – led by the Dingle Fife & Drum Band – began at 6am. Large crowds gathered in Tralee for their St Patrick’s Day parade which got underway at noon.
