Hot weather attracts Lion’s Mane Jellyfish to Kerry Shores

The Chief Executive of Irish Water Safety says swimmers along the Kerry coast should be on the look-out for the Weaver Fish which is potentially more harmful than jellyfish. The hot weather has already attracted the Lion’s Mane jellyfish to our shores, but John Leech says it is not the only stinging creature that needs to be avoided. He says the spring tide next week may present a more venomous threat.
