High Court Judge says society owes a debt to the family of a profoundly disabled toddler

A High Court Judge says society owes a debt to the family of a profoundly disabled toddler for the care they’ve given her since her birth. Public Domain Image Judge Kevin Cross also approved a 1.9 million euro initial payment for the care of the 3 year old for the next three years. Milagros Martin suffered cerebral palsy when she was born at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda in December 2011. A statement from the hospital apologising for the deficits in  relation to the birth of the little girl was read in the High Court, and liability was admitted.
