The family of an ESB worker who died following an explosion at the Tarbert generating plant has been awarded almost three quarters of a million euro in a settlement with the ESB. Mary Healy and her four sons received 745,000 euro in The High Court following the death of Mike Healy after an explosion in the plant in July 2003. Mr Healy and his colleague Patrick Mc Crohan both died after the incident. Senior counsel for the Healy family said the settlement offer represented the full value of the case.
