Health Minister visits Kerry to formally rename hospital

Health Minister Leo Varadkar will be in Kerry today to formally rename Kerry General Hospital. Leo Varadkar, Minister for Transport Tourism and Enterprise The hospital will now be known as University Hospital Kerry which recognises the significant service it provides to patients in Kerry, North Cork and West Limerick as part of the South / South West Hospital Group. The Minister will also formally open the New Day Care Centre for patients with Diabetes, the new leading edge CT scanner and the Education Centre. He will also visit the site for the new In-patient Palliative Care Unit.
