The Southern Health Board is investigating an alleged incident at a North Kerry nursing home involving a patient and a member of staff. It’s alleged that a staff member struck one of the patients. The board’s nursing home inspection team is investigating this incident.In a statement issued to Radio Kerry News, the Health Board says that staff at the home are co-operating with the team. Five residents have recently re-located to other nursing homes at the request of the owner of the home at the centre of the allegation. These arrangements were made between the owner, the residents and their families. Two residents continue to live at the nursing home.
