Growing concern in Killarney at recent loss of jobs

There`s growing pressure on the Tanaiste Mary Harney to meet with local politicians and business in Killarney over the loss of almost 90 jobs in the town. President of the Chamber of Commerce in Killarney Connor Henigan says its time for Mary Harney to get involved and help business in Killarney. The companies Transmould and Scots Tools say it`s was no longer economically viable for them to continue production due to spiralling costs. The Chamber of Commerce is calling on The Minister to come out and help companies. Mayor of Killarney Brian O Leary says it is increasingly difficult to compete with Asian and European companies that can manufacture products considerably cheaper. However he says he will be looking to meet with The Tanaiste and The IDA to see what industry can be brought into the town.
