The Garda Representative Association is criticising a decision by the Office of Public Works not to allow developers refurbish run-down garda stations at no cost to the taxpayer. The Central Executive Committee member of the GRA in Kerry, Dave McMahon says there are number of sites in the county where garda stations urgently need a makeover. He says the Divisional Headquarters in Tralee were due to be moved to a new location but this has yet to happen.Dave McMahon says gardai in Castlegregory, Brosna and Knocknagoshel are crying out for new or refurbished stations but the OPW has yet to act.
