Golf courses may be prone to flooding in comming years

Many coastal areas and golf links in Kerry may be prone to flooding due to the effects of climate change in the future according to the Irish Climate Analysis Unit in NUI Maynooth. Researcher Doctor Rowan Feely from Annagh says climate change is already visible in Ireland, but it is extremely subtle. Dr Feely says the Government and local authorities have an important role to play in terms of policy change and climate proofing structures such as bridges. He says the effects of climate change will be clear over the next ten to twenty years.
