Gardai would welcome independant appeals system.

Gardai in the county would welcome an independent appeals system according to Chief Superintendent Fred Garvey. However, he says the public may not realise, a process whereby Gardai adjudicate on their colleagues can be very harsh. Speaking on this mornings Kerry Today he said the most important thing is for gardai to have the support and trust of the public. He says every aspect of the work of a Garda requires the confidence of the public and if that is not forthcoming then there is a major problem.
