Gardai are appealing to anyone who was in contact with Dubliner Kenneth O’Brien in the hours before his murder, to come forward. The 33 year old was last night named as the man whose body was found in a County Kildare canal last Saturday. Mr O’Brien was reported missing from his home on Layland Road over the weekend and Gardai are now focusing their enquiries in that area. They’re calling on anyone in touch with him in person or by phone or text between Friday and Saturday morning to come forward. Gardai say the victim was a family man and are continuing their search for the scene of the murder and are calling on owners of empty properties to check their premises for anything suspicious.
