Tralee Town Council has deferred, for a month, a decision on whether to close a laneway between two estates in the town. Gardai have recommended the closure of the walk-way between Number 1 Gallows Field and Number 15 Cahermoneen because of ongoing anti-social behaviour.16 year old Kevin O’Sullivan from Cahermoneen says the matter has dragged on for too long and he is calling on the powers that be to close the lane. People living in Gallows Field are opposed to the closure of the laneway and say there has been no anti-social behaviour there for some time. The Assistant Chairman of the residents association, Willie Dennehy, says there is an alternative option.
