A young man remains in a critical condition in Cork University Hospital this afternoon following Sunday night’s assault in Milltown. Gardai say they are continuing their investigations into the incident. The serious assault took place between midnight and half past 12 in Milltown on the night of the all Ireland Final. It’s understood that the victim who’s in his late 20’s – was set upon by 2 individuals.He was found lying on the footpath and was rushed to Kerry General Hospital and then removed to cork university hospital where he remains in a critical condition. Gardai say they are continuing their investigations into the incident.
