Gardai appeal for information about taxi assault.

Gardai in the county are appealing to the public for information after a taxi driver was assaulted and his taxi burnt out in the early hours of yesterday morning. The driver collected an individual and a group of people in Listowel. Having dropped off the group in a North Kerry village he was returning to Tralee with the individual when he was attacked, robbed and forced out of his vehicle. The mini bus was later found burnt out in the North Kerry village of Finuge. Gardai in Tralee and Listowel have now launched a joint investigation into the incident. The driver who was treated for injuries is recovering today and has been interviewed by gardai. They’re now appealing to anyone who has any information to come forward.
