Galway man is charged with the manslaughter of his father

A 27 year old male charged with the manslaughter of his father has been remanded on continuing bail to appear at Killarney District Court on February first. Timothy Murphy with an address at Cuain Mhuire Turlough More Galway appeared on the charge at Tralee District Court today. Timothy Murphy was arrested on Monday last at Knockawina in Brosna. He was brought to Killarney Garda Station where he was later charged with the manslaughter of his father William Joseph Murphy.The incident took place in January of this year on the main street of Castleisland. The accused has been granted bail on three conditions. Today the court heard that timothy Murphy had handed in his passport to Gardai. He must sign on at Tuam Garda Station in Galway where he is currently residing, three times a week and a surety of 6,000 euro be paid by in the event of a breach of these conditions. Judge John O Neil today remanded Timothy Murphy in custody with consent to bail to appear at Killarney District Court on February first.
