Funeral of Kerry Footballer Patrick Curtin has taken place

Patrick Curtin, image courtesy of Kerry County Board The funeral of former Kerry footballer Patrick Curtin has taken place. A large attendance gathered at the funeral mass which took place at The Church of the Assumption, Moyvane. A guard of honour was provided by members of Moyvane GAA club, members of the Moyvane community, the county board, and Mr Curtin’s Liebherr work colleagues. The Moyvane clubman suffered serious head injuries in a road crash Christmas week. The 26 year old was subsequently airlifted to Hospital in Miami where he passed away. He had been in Central America working for Killarney crane container company Liebherr. Many people around the county and further afield have expressed their sadness following Mr Curtin’s death, including GAA President Aogán Ó Fearghail who has expressed his sympathies to the family of former Kerry footballer. Former Kerry and Munster GAA chairman and fellow clubman Sean Walsh who spoke at the funeral today said Paddy was loved in his community: [audio_player src=””]
