Fund to be set up for creditors of Tralee Beef and Lamb

Anglo Irish Bank has given a commitment to set up a fund for creditors of Tralee Beef and Lamb if other financial institutions will chip in. Farmers are to hold a protest outside the Bank of Ireland in Tralee next week in an attempt to put pressure on them to contribute to a fund for creditors. The meat factory went into liquidation three years ago leaving farmers three and half million euros out of pocket. According to Donal Kelly of the creditors committee Anglo Irish Bank gave the commitment after farmers protested outside their branch in Limerick.
