European car-free-day finishes at four o clock in Tralee today. The Mall and Upper Bridge Street will be closed off to traffic between ten a.m. and four p.m. The idea behind the event is to promote and encourage the use of environmentally friendly transport. The Tralee People`s Bus Service will be free for the day, this serves many areas in the town including The Institute Of Technology. John Fitzgerald of Tralee Town Council invites families to take part in the entertainment provided in the square this afternoon.
