Four businesses to represent Kerry at Munster final of new enterprise competition

South Kerry Development PartnershipFour businesses are to represent Kerry at the Munster final of a new national enterprise competition. The businesses, two representing South Kerry Development Partnership Ltd and two on behalf of North, East, and West Kerry Development, were chosen from 40 entries in the Irish Local Development Companies Network awards. James’ Barber Shop and K&T Bakery have been chosen from South Kerry, while the North Kerry businesses are Maura’s Flowers and The Gluten Free Kitchen; they’ll represent Kerry at the Munster regional phase of the competition. All of the businesses that entered were set up since 2011 with help from the Local Development Companies, through the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance scheme in conjunction with the Department of Social Protection.
