Five Kerry TDs take their Dáil seats today

Kerry five TDs will take their seats in Dáil Éireann today, two of those for the first time. Brothers Michael and Danny Healy-Rae make today history by becoming the first brothers to serve as TDs for the same constituency at the same time. His brother Danny has passed his Kerry County Council seat onto his daughter Maura who will take up the reigns from next Monday. Another first time TD for Kerry is Fianna Fail’s John Brassil who after holding a council seat for 16 years has made it to Leinster House and in the process returning a seat for the party in the constituency.
