First ever female president for New York Kerrymen’s Association

A businesswoman with roots in Kilgarvan has become the first ever female president of the New York Kerrymen’s Association. Loretta King Loretta King was also the organisation’s first female auditor and vice-president and replaces outgoing president Donnchadh Costello. Her grandparents, Honora Godfrey Sullivan and Patrick Sullivan, came from Kilgarvan and were married in New York in 1913. Ms King, who’s an online marketing consultant, said she is looking forward to carrying on the traditions of the Kerrymen’s Association in the Big Apple.
