The General Secretary of Fine Gael will visit Killarney this evening to discuss with party members what happened after last June`s local elections. The decision by Cllr Sheila Casey to make a pact with Fianna Fail will be one of the topics discussed. Fine Gael`s General Secretary Tom Curran will meet Cllr Sheila Casey first this evening. After that, he’ll hear the views of branch members in Killarney before talking to The Constituency Executive.Over the summer, some branch members have written to party headquarters about Cllr Casey`s decision to align herself with Fianna Fail on Killarney Town Council. Speaking to Radio Kerry ahead of his visit, Mr Curran said he wasn’t travelling to discipline anybody, but did concede that some members have issues. He also wanted to stress that he would be discussing plans for the next General Election. Fine Gael is targeting Kerry South for a gain and Mr Curran says running one candidate is a real possibility.
