Fine Gael Director of Elections hopeful rather than confident that Jimmy Deenihan will retain his seat

JimmyDeenihan   Fine Gael’s Director of Elections in Kerry says the party is hopeful rather than confident that sitting Junior Minister Jimmy Deenihan will retain his seat. In the last General Election Jimmy Deenihan topped the poll in the old Kerry North West Limerick constituency with 12,304 first preferences – however his vote has dropped 48% to 6,489 in this election. Donie Dillane says they are pleased with how Brendan Griffin has performed but fear the worst for Minister Deenihan.
