Father of Kerryman attacked in Australia says family is relieved he will recover from injuries

The father of a Kerryman attacked in Australia says the family is relieved that he will recover from his serious assault. Sydney Twenty five year old Kieran Cahill from Currow was allegedly attacked by three men outside a kebab and pizza shop in Sydney in the early hours of Monday morning. His father Michael says Kieran was attacked after asking a number of men to stop hassling a couple of women. Kieran’s brother James also works in Australia. The Irish Echo newspaper says one man has been charged with the assault but that police are looking for more people in connection with the incident.
