Connacht and Ulster have bolstered their squads ahead of their final two European Champions Cup pool games.

Centre Tom Farrell – who joined this week from Bedford – and the recently un-retired John Andress replace Cormac Brennan and Conan O’Donnell in the Connacht squad for their games with Zebre and Toulouse.

And following the departure of Dan Tuohy to Bristol, Ulster have added prop Jonny Simpson to their squad.


Claude Makelele has joined Swansea as assistant manager.

Manchester City have been charged by the Football Association with an anti-doping offence.

The governing body says it’s alleged the Premier League side failed to make sure information about “club whereabouts” was accurate.

They’ve got until the 19th of January to respond.
