ESB says many Kerry homes will be without power overnight

The ESB is advising that thousands of customers without power in Kerry are unlikely to have their electricity supply restored before tomorrow morning. ESB Networks says that there are 46,000 homes with power outages around the county at present. The company is bringing in crews from other counties to deal with repairs. Because of the extent of the damage following hurricane-force winds earlier, it warns that most homes won’t have power restored until the morning. ESB LogoThe ESB is appealing to people only to contact them about fallen power lines and NOT to call them about power outages in their homes. Nationally, over a quarter of a million homes and businesses are without power.
