An Post has apologised to 100 customers in North Kerry after they received their polling cards attached to election material for a number of candidates. A number of residents made a complaint to Radio Kerry News after receiving election material stapled to their polling cards. An Post says its staff are given clear instructions on the handling and delivery of election-related material particularly polling cards. The company says under no circumstances should polling cards be attached to other election material. An Post has apologised for what happened and has assured customers that steps have been taken to ensure that this does not happen again. Radio Kerry News understands that election material relating to a number of candidates was attached to the polling cards. The election candidates were completely unaware that their literature had been attached to polling cards and told Radio Kerry they disapproved of what occurred.
