An elderly woman has died following a road collision near Waterville last night. The lady, who was 90, was walking on a byroad just off the N70 main Caherciveen to Waterville Road at Spunkane at 20 to nine last night when she was struck by a car. 
She was pronounced dead at the scene, and her body was removed to Kerry General Hospital. The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s was not injured. The road was closed for forensic examination but has since re-opened.
