Éigse na Brídeoige to examine role Uíbh Ráthach played in 1916

Eigse na BrideoigeThe annual Éigse na Brídeoige is taking place throughout Uíbh Ráthach this weekend. The festival, which has its origins in ancient Kerry culture, will see events hosted in Ballinskelligs, Caherdaniel, Dromid and Waterville. Gaeltacht Minister Joe McHugh officially launched the festival while speakers throughout the weekend include Joe Duffy who will deliver a lecture on the Children of 1916 in Ionad na Dromada today (Saturday).
