€2.5 has been spent on renovations in Kerry homes in the past seven weeks under the government’s Home Renovation Incentive. According to figures published in today’s Irish Independent, works have been carried out on 133 homes in the county since the middle of July. The tax break provides relief to homeowners who are seeking to renovate their homes and was designed to stimulate the construction sector. Nationally, €6 million is being spent by householders per week under the scheme.
