Drive takes place to attract recruits to the defence forces.

A major drive for recruits in the reserve defence forces is underway in the county. The 6 centres in Kerry are hoping to attract a number of new members. Initial training will involve foot drills, arms drills as well as learning how to clean strip and fire a weapon. According to Commandant Gerald O Connor some of these recruits could go on to serve in the defence forces abroad in the future.
