Dolphin refloated at Kenmare Bay.

A young dolphin was successfully refloated in Kenmare Bay yesterday evening after becoming beached near the golf club. The young male was discovered at the 14th tee. A local vet was called and discovered the dolphin was still alive. A team of divers and several locals were involved in this three hour operation to refloat the dolphin.He was spotted at the 14th tee shortly after 6 o clock yesterday evening. Valentia Coastguard and Gardai were contacted and a wildlife ranger also attended the scene as did the local vet. The initial problem for the rescue operation was the tide had gone out beyond Kenmare Bridge. A team of divers was called and wearing dry suits they carried the dolphin back to sea. He was successfully refloated at around 9 o`clock last night.
