Senior managers at Sara Lee are expected to arrive in the county later this evening ahead of talks with on a redundancy package for the 92 staff. The company announced on Thursday of last week it is to close the Killarney plant citing significant overproduction in the market. Its not clear what kind of package is being put on the table. Initial discussions have taken place between staff representatives and management. Further talks are due to take place tomorrow.
