Dingle ice swimmer urges people to check on the elderly during cold snap

As temperatures plummert, people around the county are being urged to check on their elderly friends, neighbours and relatives during the cold snap.


Ice and fog have made weather conditions treacherous and temperatures tonight around Kerry are expected to drop as low as -2.


Endurance swimmer and community advocate for the elderly Nuala Moore, is well accustomed to tackling the ice waters of the Arctic.


She says icy these conditions like these can be very challenging for our senior citizens.
