A Dingle film has won Best Film at the International Richard Harris Film Festival Awards in Limerick last night.
The short film entitled ‘Uisce Beatha’ tells the true story of a girl as she struggles with her father’s choice of returning to Dingle to farm as opposed to the London lifestyle that she’s used to.
Through an unexpected event, the main character sees her dad in a very different light which changes their relationship forever.
The film which was shot in Dingle is directed, written, and produced by Dingle woman Elaine Kennedy, who also stars in the film along with members of the Dingle Community.
Elaine says Kerry is a great film location and she would like to shoot more films here:
