Department of Education in dispute with Dingle parents.

The Department of Education has failed to respond to a request from parents in Annauscaul who want a change in the transport system to allow their children attend an all English school in Tralee. The parents live in the Dingle school catchment area but want their children to continue their secondary education through English in Tralee. The fact that they live outside the Tralee catchment means they have to pay extra for school transport. The parents are now going to take a case against the Department of Education. Chief Executive of the Kerry Education Service Barney O Reilly says he has also raised the matter with the Department but has not received a response.
