A decision on whether or not the Institute of Technology Tralee will be allowed to buy the Kerry Technology Park will be made next month. The park is home to some of the country’s most successful businesses which employ over 400 people. Last year, IT Tralee placed a formal bid with Shannon Development to purchase the park. The college says it wants the facility to remain under local ownership. It’s understood the Education Training Board, which is part of the Department of Education, is due to meet in March to decide whether or not to sanction the purchase.
