Cutting of noxious weed near Ballybunion will lead to further spread

A noxious, invasive weed lying near a watercourse in Ballybunion was cut, causing it to spread further, a meeting of the Listowel Municpal District has heard. Japanese knotweed Kerry County Council says it is unfortunate the trimmings of the Japanese knotweed that is lying across a watercourse at Lahardane, Ballybunion were cut, as this causes the pernicious weed to spread further. The matter had been highlighted by local councillor Robert Beasley.
