A businessman in Cromane is hitting back at comments made about campervan users visiting the area. Chairperson of Cromane Community Council, Bridie Little, wrote a letter to the Kerryman saying that a huge influx of campervans is disrupting the small seaside village each summer. She claims some of the visitors are getting rid of their night waste in the toilets in the morning and is calling on Kerry County Council to impose by-laws banning campervans parking in the car park near the beach. However, John Casey who has a family business in Cromane is unhappy with the community council for saying the campervans are unwelcome. He says the tourists contribute to the economy of the area: [audio_player src=”http://media.radiokerry.ie/mediamanager/embed/audio/26830/medium/”]
